Longer protection, easier washing
Marine CeramicCoating for Boatsin Tampa Bay
A ceramic coating is for boat owners who want to buy years of protection where a wax buys you months. It protects the gel coat for longer and you get a hull that easily rinses clean when you get back in.

Why owners chooseceramic coating
Wax vs ceramic coating
Protection on the hull
Most boat owners come to ceramic coating after a few years of the same cycle. You wax the boat, it looks good for a couple of months, the Florida sun works through it, and by the time you notice, it's due again. Somewhere in there you stop keeping up and the hull starts to dull.
A ceramic coating changes the size of that job. One application gives you a few years, and owners tell us the difference they notice first is that a rinse actually works now.
And it takes one thing off the list, which if we're honest is why most people actually do it.
Wax orceramic coating?
It's a fair question, and both work. It comes down to how long you want it to last and how much you want to think about it.
- How long it lasts
- A few months in Florida sun
- What washing is like
- Normal
- What it costs
- Lower up front, repeated often
- Suits
- A boat already on a regular schedule
If you're already on a monthly plan with us and the boat's getting waxed anyway, wax is doing its job and there's no need to change.
Ceramic coating onlyworks on a surfacethat's ready
We apply ceramic coating over gel coat we've corrected first, so it's got something worth protecting underneath it.
A coating bonds to whatever's below it. If that's oxidized gel coat, you've bonded years of protection to a dead, powdery layer and sealed the dullness in.
Depending on how far your boat has gone, the correction is a polish, a buff, or sanding, and the coating goes on once the gloss is back and even. Ceramic coating comes as an add on to a restoration with us. We don't sell it on its own.

What ceramiccoating costs
A ceramic coating is $100 per foot, and it goes on top of the restoration that gets your gel coat ready for it.

- From $55 per foot
- Correcting the gel coat so there's a proper surface to bond to
- Ceramic coating
- $100 per foot
- Years of protection over the top of it
- Restoration, from
- $1,320
- Ceramic coating
- $2,400
- Your boat, from
- $3,720
Restoration is a starting figure. The final price depends on the condition of your gel coat.
Boats 40 feet and over or sitting in the water are quoted differently. These take longer to work on, so those carry a small charge on top.

The gloss in these photos comes from the correction underneath, and the ceramic coating is what keeps it there once we've driven away.
